Brian Schell

Operations Manager

Brian is always moving. Staying consistently active in the marching arts since he got the bug in 1990, marching in the Sound of Long Island for two years (1990-1991). From there, he went on to march in DCI. He played bass drum with Dutch Boy (1992-1993) and cymbals with Crossmen (1994). Aging out couldn’t slow him down as he continued with the Sunrisers playing bass drum from 1995-1999. From there, he went to the Hawthorne Caballeros for an impressive 13 years (2001-2013), playing everything from tympani, to bass drum, to cymbals, and eventually moving to staff where he taught movement and bass drums. He returned to Sunrisers as their bass drum tech in 2014. Since he had moved across the aisle, he decided to go back to DCI and taught the cymbal line at Raiders from 2015 to 2017. But this is indoor. Brian also taught indoor guard from the late 90s until 2011 as a movement tech and writer.

Brian came to Aftermath for it’s rebirth in 2014 as our cymbal tech, but didn’t stop there. He also taught visual and bass drums during his tenure. This year Brian is once again stepping up to help as our Operations Manager, making use of his 28 years of experience.
